As his jaws moved towards her, Ayer leaped from Corbie's neck upwards in an attempt at landing on Vidarr's brow, claws scrabbling at his face for a grip as her sharp little teeth looked to clamp shut on his right ear like a heavy kinkajou-sized earring. Without much time to act but warned by the procyonid's barking call of alarm, Corbie threw herself forward and down into a crouch, letting his teeth scrape along the leather protecting her back while she aimed a snapping bite at his left foreleg at the ankle, seeking to break the delicate bones there and put him on three legs early. Her only real chance against a wolf this much larger was to slow him down and win by attrition. To that end, she also slammed her paws forward as she dove into her crouch, attempting to stab the claws she was wearing down into his forepaws.
