Some Look for Trouble

Having decided to linger around the Polar Sound for a bit gave Malico the opportunity to hunt for them- not that Mariah was much interested in eating. But, it did give them an opportunity to do some exploring on their own, rather than being under each other's feet for the entirety of their journey. The Mendacium girl had chosen to linger near the edge of the valley- atop the ridgeline. It gave her the best view of the environment as she could see it. And it was a simple enough place for her to stay that she could be easily found once again when her brother returned. It was pretty gusty, though. The northern wind was brutal, and it raked its claws down her bony frame.

Due to her weakness, she couldn't stay unmoving in the open air for very long, so she made the decision to slowly work her way towards the opening of the gorge- there was only one entrance that she could tell. She wouldn't enter the valley as she didn't have enough time to get all the way down and back up again. It would, however, shift her view a bit and open up her surroundings a little more clearly. It was a stunning view, and it made sense to her to want to take full advantage of it. One of the few opportunities to leave her packland would not be wasted.
