Training! Eager to do more of it after his lesson and fighting off predators with Dusk, Gavroche happily bounded out of the den after his father and Ikuchi. Only… the winged boy had got distracted along the way. Now trailing at his side was a kitten, a sweet little girl that he had named Dawn. She was tiny, smaller than himself, with stubby limbs and folded ears. But her colors were the opposite of his friend Dusk, being white with silver stripes in her fur and bright blue eyes… so Dawn felt fitting.

Plus it was a way to honor his dear friend!

He couldn’t wait until he was old enough to go visit and ask her to come back with him. He wanted her to meet everyone! The feathers on his wings puffed up with excitement, the yearling arrived with Dawn and sat near her brother with a big grin. “Look Iki! This is Dawn~ Isn’t she cute?” His green eyes were shining with delight, the kitten at his side looking up at the chubby pup with curious eyes.

“Hello…” She mewed.

"Speech," 'Thought.'
