The two boys that tagged along were not.. unwelcome. However, he was a little concerned that they might disrupt the process of getting the bleeding staunched quickly and easily, or that they might be upset by the sight of blood. Thus far, Ume seemed to be more interested in the process of Mojito's treatment than anything else, and Sho was acting as an anchor for his sister. He smiled softly, approving of their responses to the distressing situation. The petite frame of his little daughter leaning against his chest was an anchor for him as well, reminding him of the task at hand. The little one apologized meekly, and before he could pipe up to assure her that she was not in the wrong, his beloved soothed her with a few kind words.

The lovers shared a pointed look as Mo worked, and Nao wished he knew how to convey his confusion in a way that wouldn't be misconstrued. This kind of bleeding was unusual in his book, and that was about all he knew. There was a growing sensation of anxiety in his chest as time went on and the flow of crimson did not falter, he was not used to seeing that in someone he hadn't explicitly cut open to ensure they couldn't stop bleeding. Trusting the pallid man to ensure things went smoothly, he instead focused on consoling Hana.

One dark forelimb moved closer to Hana's tiny form, caging her trembling body close to his own to try and impart some of his own warmth. "Your papa is very skilled, there is no need to fear." he murmured gently, lowering his dainty skull to place a gentle kiss upon her brow. "We all have accidents, little flower." he continued just as softly. Rotating the foreleg that he'd just moved closer to her, he turned the outside portion of the limb where she could see it. He blew out a breath over the thin fur partway up his lower leg, revealing a streak of scar tissue. "You see, I have many scars from my own mistakes. Here, I misjudged my words when I was only a few months older than you are now, and I was punished. But now, so much time has passed and I am still okay, so it is merely a lesson learned." he explained with the even, measured tone of someone who had recounted many a tale of this type over the years.

It didn't occur to the man that this might be a grim story, it was just one of his scars that happened to be easily accessible, and a simple enough tale to recount to the little ones. At the very least, it would distract them while Mojito worked on treating their child. "I needed it wrapped in herbs for some time to heal nicely, just as your papa does for you now. Sometimes it is better than trying to let the body fix it alone, because that is a lot of work for a little body like yours, Hana. Takes time away from playing with your siblings, and we can't have that, now can we?" he teased the child lightly, a wry grin on his face as he dipped his head down to give her another little kiss upon her brow. Sea foam eyes flicked up to his beloved, checking his progress and his prognosis based on whatever face he happened to be making at the moment.
