Haydée grins broadly as her tiny mud-ball smacks into Gilgamesh’s right shoulder, her eyes bright with laughter and joy. The man gives a fatherly, light-hearted laugh and a pang of longing suddenly resounds through her being as she remembers her dead father and the happy times they had shared. As she is preparing her second mud-ball to throw, a deep sense of melancholy sweeps through her chest and causes her to falter, the ball still in her paw as Gil lifts his own massive weapon in retaliation.
The smile falls off and her features morph into a wide-eyed, surprised, fearful expression as she realizes what is going to happen. It is too late, the muck, water, and compacted earth is fling in her direction and time seems to slow down as it tumbles lazily through the rain filled air. Mouth opens as she sucks in a breath then Haydée suddenly shouts, “OH MY GODS.” His aim is impeccable as it smacks her square in her face, filling her mouth and eyes with disgusting debris better left to one’s imagination.
The mud-ball snaps her head back and Haydée tumbles over backward, hitting the mud with a loud, ‘SPLAT’ that resounds through the area. But she is hardly on her back for more than a few seconds before she is rolling onto her side to start hacking up huge amounts of mud and rain. Looking to Gil through teary, mud-filled eyes, the young woman lifts a small paw and shakes it at him in a ‘why I ought to’, teasing, gesture. Even in her state, it is difficult to miss the smile that tugs at the corners of her lips as she stands.
Still hacking and spitting, Haydée swiftly makes her exit from the battlefield while hoping that Bay will having something to help wash the foul taste and grit from her mouth.
"Love all, trust a few, do wrong to none.”
Haydée has a male northern cardinal named Chanson and a female fossa named Manon. They are always close by.
