A Shiny New Era

Raxka found a smile curling its way upon her maw as she stepped further into this new place. This is perfect, she thought as her paws trod over the disheveled ruins. And it was, it was absolutely perfect. Truly, a place fit for a Mayan queen such as she. Though, the rituals of the Aztecs struck her fancy as well, so perhaps her culture was of a mixed breed. No matter; she was pure, that she knew for certain. She had been blessed with the markings of the sacred jaguar, which manifested themselves as black mottling upon her golden coat. She had been chosen to lead from birth, to bring truth to the world, and she would not disappoint.

Sacrifices would need to be made, of course, if the gods were to be appeased. And she would need followers, as any decent ruler had. A shiver of anticipation ran through Raxka's body as she let loose a howl. This place was hers now, she decided, and anyone who claimed otherwise would have justice exacted upon them, the justice of the Jaguar Queen.
