AND HERE COMES VIRGIL WITH A STEEL CHAIR- ALL DONE! RIP to whoever has to read this mess

Name: Hattori Kaiyou (named for a style of "walking garden") OR Hattori Aki (bright; autumn)
Gender: Male
Size/Height/Build Dire - 44" - Balanced
Design:

Alignment: True Neutral

Appearance:
Coat & Build: Autumn personified, painted in the hues of summer's slow and peaceful death. Though the base hues of his pelage are charcoal and obsidian, it only serves to highlight the way those vibrant oranges are painted over his body. Concentrated over the centre of his body, with the furthest points of his extremities remaining onyx in hue. Feathered around the edges of those swathes of mandarin, one might notice the appearance of fallen leaves (or scales?) defining the boundaries of each orange-dyed patch. Perhaps even a few dark "scales" of fur set within the heart of his bright markings as well. The autumnal spirit is most heavily doused in sunset hues across his back and shoulders, with smaller patches over his hips and hind legs. His left foreleg is heavily adorned in amber, while the right only had a few scattered patches near the shoulder and elbow. A mask in the hues of withered oak leaves claims the majority of his features, climbing from the crown of his skull and down over his brow to paint itself in shades of sunfire across his cheeks and muzzle in a few artful sprays of colour that yet again mimic the tumbling of leaves down his handsome facade.

Kaiyou has the willowy, svelte build one might expect from the embodiment of winter's unstoppable approach. All legs, this one. A narrow waist and long body, with a swan-like neck to support his ethereal crown. His shoulders and back are the most evident display of his musculature, rippling with each fluid motion. The subtlety of his strength and imposing frame are easily overlooked, until he draws close- then all at once the sheer size and power of this seelie creature would overwhelm the mind. Every inch of him proclaims regency. His muzzle is well sculpted, flowing into defined brows and prominent cheekbones. Coupled with the framing of his dark cheek fur and tall ears, to look upon him is to understand something unknowable for only the briefest of moments.

Eyes & Voice: Set within the orbits of his skull are matching jewels of flame, impossibly bright rubies with a hint of opalescent cinnamon surrounding the pupils that mimics a sunset. Framed with truly ostentatious dark lashes, those eyes are downright sultry without any effort on his part.

While the tombre of his vocals just misses the rumbling baritone quality of his sire and other massive brutes, there is an airy quality to his voice instead. Instead of a gravelly rumble, his speech has the raspy quality of well-worn riverbed gravel. Soothing to listen to, incredibly easy on the ears and deceptively gentle.

Stance & Gait: A decidedly eerie presence, once the male is preoccupied he stands so impossibly still that he easily blends in with his surroundings. He tends to hold himself with one hip cocked, shoulders lax and limbs poised beneath him in some elegant display of his stunning bodice. And when he moves he does so with impossible fluidity, a graceful creature in every sense of the word. Worse yet, is that in spite of the sheer size of him, he moves with impossible stealth. A silent predator, predisposed to ambushes and shadow striding.

Quirks & Mutations: An inherited trait from his grandmother, the most notable (or second most) of his traits are the branching antlers that sprout from his crown. Dark as the rest of him, lightening to copper at their points. With each passing year, he'll manage to sprout one or two more points, though will max out in his third year with an ornate set of four pointed antlers. Each year, as winter grips the northern landscape, they fall right off. Up until they reach their maximal growth, where they become a permanent feature of his crown.

Personality:
Affectionate: There's a lot of love in his heart, and he's never shy about sharing it. This extends into being an incredibly physical creature, keen to share touch however he can. Fond of grooming friends and family, or lounging with one or more limbs entangled. Hardly shy to express himself or his feelings about those around him, and often one of the friendlier faces to be found. He finds it remarkably easy to make friends and build relationships through his earnest gestures of affection, both conscious and unconscious.

Adventurous: Hardly keen to live a sedentary life, the autumnal prince would prefer to roam as he pleases. See the sights, meet new folks, gather experiences and tales to share with those he loves. Similarly, he takes great pleasure in exploring every nook and cranny of a new locale, which means that he will quickly come to know his home territories like the backs of his own paw. His curious and explorative nature is not only limited to wanderlust, and he will readily throw himself into uncertain and unusual circumstances for the sake of the novelty.

Romantic: Call it a character flaw, but he's hopeless. He craves attention and romance, and gladly throws himself around in whatever way suits him in the moment. As a child, it manifests as frequent and unpredictable crushes, new ones almost every day. As he grows and learns more about himself and others, this will morph into sneaking off to canoodle, or showering gifts on whoever has struck his fancy that day. Once adulthood approaches, the only applicable term for his behaviour will be slutty. Make no mistake, he understands that this is less than ideal if he wants to settle down. Except he doesn't, because he is far more interested in exploring the variability of love and romance, just as he seeks to explore the world in all of its variability.

Stubborn: This is the true character flaw, right here. Once he sets his mind to something, it's game over. There is no swaying him, to the point of absurdity. This manifests most commonly in the form of petty, stupid arguments. Usually ones that blow over quite quickly, and thankfully he doesn't tend to hold a grudge. In these moments, he most closely resembles his father; with a sour lemon scowl and judgey eyes cranked up to eleven.

Acerbic - Partly a result of being a wee bit oblivious, he doesn't put all that much effort into minding his manners. Nor is he particularly good at watching his words. In fact, he's a bit of a bastard, in that regard. He says what he thinks, and doesn't pull any punches. There's no malice in it, he doesn't have any interest in putting in the effort to be malicious. No, it's nothing more than being painfully blunt. However, he's a sharp one, and so he tends to pick on things that aren't immediately obvious- and more likely to hit a bit too close to home. Count on him to speak up only to point out something incredibly astute, and simultaneously do so in a way that feels like a personal attack.

Space Cadet - Not too carefully tethered to reality, this one. The Hattori princeling tends to drift off in his own thoughts, or get caught up in watching the world go by. If he were one of those little toys with a pull-string and a set of phrases, at least half would be variations of "huh?". It's not entirely his fault, he is just easily distracted and similarly quick to lose interest. The kind of guy who would wander off in the middle of a sentence to follow a particularly colourful butterfly on its course through a meadow. With this in mind, it should surprise no one that he doesn't usually pay attention to instructions. Or conversations. Most things that involve being told something. Consider him a kinetic learner- if you show him what to do, and let him learn by practicing, then he's perfectly fine. Just don't count on a lecture having any effect on him.
