His opponent's words barely registered before he made contact with her, but as soon as they did they caught him off guard enough to let her leg slip out of range. His shoulder did end up connecting with her chest, but he hardly cared now. Ignis?! So these were the wolves he had fallen in with... He hadn't seen the brute since he attempted to rip his tail off and certainly hadn't known what pack he had been living with, but now he did. Why was he not surprised that his "father" had thrown in his loyalty with intruders like these? His golden gaze shot over to her, his brow furrowed as he went to question her, but before he could get a word in edge wise he felt her teeth bite into his scruff, his distraction over her comment leaving him wide open to her attack. He snarled, a deep growl resonating in his chest.

He immediately tried to jam his shoulder up into her throat to get her to let go of his scruff, using the bit of extra height he had on her to get a good amount of leverage. Whether or not she had intended to, she had poked the one and only nerve that could really irritate him like nothing else and unfortunately for her she'd get the brunt of that anger since a quick scan of the battlefield told him that Ignis wasn't in this fight–at least not yet. He scoffed and shot back, "I guess you'll have to send him my regards," with a growl before he lunged for the side of her neck with open jaws. He knew he could have played dumb, he could have tried to hide his lineage as he had so many times before, but he was done running and he was done hiding. Let Ignis find out where he was living, he would love to see him again.
