While Strix is the smallest one of his litter, the much shorter man has learned how to use speed, agility, and outright ferocity to his advantage. Plus, growing up with five bigger (literally) brothers had a way of helping him anticipate what taller wolves might do in fights; so, when the slate and gray male shoves his legs forward, the slighter male rolls with it. Paws kick up dirt as he skids to slow his momentum while he strikes out at the unprotected ankle.

Teeth find purchase and he bites with the all the strength he has, a growl rolling past his bloodied lips as he hangs on for a moment and uses that hold to stop the rest of his momentum. Releasing the ankle, Strix shifts, paws planting for a moment as his muscles coil before being released and he leaps up toward the stranger’s face. Teeth flash in the dawning light as he attempts to bite at the stranger’s face wherever he can.

It is reckless but the cloudy gray and black male doesn’t care; he just wants go back to bed!
