The man was at it again. Marking the borders on his daily patrols of the borders, ensuring all was safe and well until his Sister was able to go and secure alliances with some of the other packs. Though he was doubtful of a few, he hoped that trouble would not arise in the future. His siblings were off doing their own thing, and he himself had quickly fallen into a routine when he joined Ludicael under his sister's rule. In truth, he enjoyed being in a pack again. The life of a loner got quite...lonely. And even though he had Legend for the duration of their rogue life, he hated feeling like he was holding his younger brother back from what he truly wanted to do. Although, Howl had never asked exactly what his brother wanted...then again, he had never forced him to stay with him. Legend had offered to keep him company, and the pair had been together since coming to these lands.

Lost in thought, Howl would almost miss the strangers scent so close to the borders. He would noticed when he'd nearly stumble upon her, the male pausing his thought line when the scent of powerful emotion hit the air in front of his nose. Pulling himself back to reality, he'd glance about in search of the owners scent, paws carefully moving forward in a sense of wariness. And soon, he had come across a stranger he had never met, a she-wolf looking weary. He would move a little faster, deep down wondering if she needed help. And upon arriving, he would look her over, worry for this stranger gnawing at his mind...though he wasn't exactly sure why. Worrying about others outside of his family was usually not in the norm for him. Though there was the rare time he did, and the last time he could remember was meeting a strange woman named Myrrh. And that meeting was the strangest he had ever had.

He approached slowly so as not to frighten her, hazel eyes curious and concerned. "Excuse me Miss, but you don't look too well..." Howl stopped a few feet away, his words honest and to the point as usual. He never masked his thoughts, and if he did it was rare. He said what he saw and whatever was on his mind and eyes, and in his eyes, this woman looked like she needed help. He was hesitant to approach any further, he did not know her and wasn't sure if she would react in a violent manner. Myrrh had approached him without hesitation, and although he never forgot that encounter, he also never forgot the way she had made him feel with such closeness. He'd subconsciously take a deep breath. He knew that the woman from the past would not be seen again. And so with a heavy feeling, he'd turn his attention to the woman before him. And like her, he too felt afraid of getting close for fear of getting hurt...and it was now that he'd wait a response from her, willing to help her should she need it. Even if she refused.
