Her gaze was sharp, unflinching, as she tilted her head ever so slightly, studying her work with a detached sort of satisfaction. Her tongue licked at the hilt of her blade between her teeth, emeralds glittering with a wicked blend of mischief. She didn’t waste words on Erebos anymore; he wasn’t worth them. Her victory was carved into his flesh, a testament to her superiority.

Satisfied, she turned away from him, her steps unhurried as she felt a gaze lurking somewhere behind her, shadowed and intense. It was then she heard the rapidly approaching thunder of footsteps. With a moment to spare, Absinth ducked down, feeling teeth grasp at her nape in time for her skull to snap sideways in a bid to jam her knife into the space between his helm and the red brute’s cheek/jaw.
