Moral to the Story

"What I had to do, huh? No, even I’ll admit I did this out of spite. He had it coming for a long time." The answer to Ultyr's statement had her blinking. Not too many spoke back to her master in such ways. But she did have to wonder what he had done to the lady before them to earn a death out of spite. Then the female was pulling herself from the water and Lailah chanced a glance up at the much larger spotted form. There wasn't fear on their face but the way they spoke, it was almost like they knew each other. A blink and she was dropping her gaze again. "A long time then?" Ultyr's voice. At least he didn't sound pissed.


"He had you for a while? Pity..." She was about to lean even more into him when Ultyr moved, her eyes widening as he seemed to forget she had been there and leaning into his leg. Her balance thrown and by the time the next words were out of Ultyr's mouth she was falling on her side. "I could have shown him what I like to do when something of mine is kept from me." Her side hit the ground and she saw as he leaped at the other. Shit. He was pissed wasn't he. Her ears pressed and she rolled to her feet, but dared not move from the spot.
