The quiet Hattori daughter was sniffing along the ground for some rare herbs. Hopefully to take with her as an offering for packs to swap for information on her older siblings. She froze as she felt a tremor sweep through the earth. Her eyes lifted to the sky as a flock of birds suddenly ascended in alarm. The tremors suddenly grew exponentially and right before her eyes the earth suddenly crumbled and a monstrous creature with several eyes and strange legs and fascinatingly beautiful scales climbed out of the hole. She slunk into the foliage with her heart racing and making her head pound with fear as she watched it slither away.
She noticed it was heading to the edge of the island. She couldn't help but feel pulled to crawl toward the hole it just left and peer into the darkness. Was there any more down there? Her ears planed out flat against her head as she squinted into the hole.
