Well...he had witnessed his first death. The beast ate someone. A stranger. Perhaps it wouldn't have been so bad if he had been swallowed whole, but his ears flattened against the sickening sound of bones crunching. Strange when it was a wolf...he never really considered this was what it might be like for the prey he hunted. He winced as body parts flew, but he didn't have long to linger and process all of that as it suddenly crashed violently against the cliff side. Luckily, his barking at least helped to distract it for a few moments while the others assaulted it, but it was short lived and it resumed its own assault, its piercing shriek causing him to flatten his ears and almost want to run. But he steeled himself instead despite the chaos happening. At least one of the wolves had managed to tear its leg off!

But...in that process...it had also killed three more strangers. Fuck! Of course he returns to the lands and comes face to face with this shit! It would be his luck! Not only did it flatten those wolves...it began to eat them! What the fuck!?

He stood there for a few heartbeats as time both seemed to slow down and speed up at the same time. They were too panicked. Too scattered. The chaos too much for many to handle. Wolves had already died. And in the chaos of it all, barely a pawful of them seemed to try and deter the worm with attacks of their own. While he didn't know any of these strangers, he was involved now and it was do or die. Fleeing wasn't an option for him. He wasn't a coward. Maybe foolish for staying and fighting...but there was no way in hell he was going to run!

As a couple others went for the worm while it feasted, Draven followed suit and raced in, aiming to attack the other side and one of its many eyeballs in an effort to shred and tear away at what he could. Maybe blinding it or tearing away its limbs would weaken it, though now that he was up close and personal, the putrid stench was almost unbearable...
