Come Out to Play!

He missed the meeting! Drashiel slammed his little paws into the dirt floor of the den at the sudden realization. He was so ready to finally glimpse his father and here he'd gone and slept through his biggest chance. He couldn't be angry with his dad though. He was probably busy doing awesome things and being everybody's dad. The pup slumped over with a huff. His mother and sister were gone again, he had no idea where and here was little Drashiel squatting in the den wondering if he even really wanted to try staying out of trouble this time.

The dark silver pup scampered toward the den opening and peered out at the crisp blanket of snow that shimmered in the cold morning light. The north wind was whispering it's words in tendrils of biting cold but at least it wasn't howling like a bear this day. One of the rare sunny days in this dismal winter?

Screw it? he didn't care if anyone was still sleeping he wasn't staying here another second. Drashiel bounded out of the den in a frenzy of movement, scattering the snow left and right and shrieking in delight. Ohhhh it was cold but it was refreshing!

Drashiel sneezed the snow off his face and shook out his coat before letting loose the biggest puppy howl he could manage. Well? if he missed the main meeting he could always hold his own. It was time for the puppies of Glaciem to come out and play! He wanted to meet the others and he was sick of playing by himself. Tail held high he waited with baited breath, every nerve in his body screaming with excitement.
