The alligator had been wrestled with by two strong wolves. Maija hadn't wasted any time in pursuing its jaws head-on, something most canines would have avoided. She had slammed it into the water, going under the surface for about a minute. They had struggled until Remus had made his move to assist her. Maija was sure she would have sustained the reptile without any help, but some part of her was relieved he was there. In no time at all, the alligator's life ended and Maija dragged him to a nearby piece of bog to begin eating. Words weren't exchanged and she continued to dig into the scaly flesh of the prey. Once the meat met her teeth, she felt her taste buds come to life! Blood spilled from the open tear she had made and her face became masked with it as she ate around it. The taste was too good to explain! Remus began to eat as well, though he respectfully stayed away from where Maija was nibbling. If he had attempted to eat where she was, there would have been an all out fight. Talk like this |
