It was the night for all things that once were to return again it seemed. She had decided to spend the night in her old den with Tocan after she had found her long lost daughter, too exhausted from her run here and the emotional strain of it all to go back tonight. But it would seem that she wouldn't be sleeping for long. The sudden sound of paw steps thumping against the ground pulled her from her light sleep and the ringing howl of that oh so familiar voice jolted her awake. She blinked open her eyes, lifting her head to look down at her daughter that was curled up beside her. Luckily the noise had only made the pup stir slightly before she settled back into sleep so Alena quietly slipped from the den to see if she would have yet another reunion on her paws tonight.

Sure enough, only a few feet away sat the platinum-eyed brute that she thought for sure was out of her life forever. All of those feelings she had buried so deep, deep down inside of her came bubbling to she surface as she stared at him in silent disbelief. "Dempsey..." she whispered softly, numbly walking toward the brute, her violet gaze searching his. She felt so many things at once. Love, rage, longing, hatred, anger... He had abandoned her, abandoned all of them, but now he was back. She didn't know how to process it all. It was so much easier to be angry, so that's exactly what she did.

"How could you?" she asked in a low, seething whisper. "I counted on you. They counted on you! I left to find us a new home and what do you do? Leave!! You left! And you know what happened when you left?! Tocan and Calix left too! Luckily Tocan came back, but Calix is still missing! Now Lel is angry with me cause of the move to Amenti, Calix is who knows where, and Nako is in Seracia with Bane's fucking mate!!" She stopped suddenly, panting lightly in her lack of air and pure, uncontrolled furry. As she was going through her rant her voice had slowly risen to a yell and tears had formed in her eyes, her body trembling lightly in her anger.

Alena wasn't used to being out of control. Her whole life had been in control. Now... now she couldn't keep herself together. She was so, so angry... but deep down she knew she had missed him. Why had she missed him so much? Why?
