the heat?it beckoned the baleful beast closer. slate stilts carried his attenuate, alabaster throw with a hint of frantic anxiety always found in the malevolent devil. he was not accustomed to this chilled weather; he preferred humid, damp climate?the kind that would make two entwined bodies sweat, gasp, and slide in delirious friction. a scowl which seemed perhaps permanent in recent days wet the man's lips, dragging his usually intoxicating features to an undiscovered vile. winter was by far the least appetizing to the viking. it was desolate, eventless. he needed excitement, and the miasmic hiss from the geyser simply was not enough to quench his thirst.
