Heat would course through her veins as the young woman loped across the territory. She was hot on the trail of an injured doe, and with her new given rank as hunter she did not want to let Isardis down. Valhalla was almost a distant memory now- or was it? The everlasting memory of her mother and pack mates would always be there no matter where she went or what she did. She couldn't deny that, but things had changed during her time in Glaciem. She had found something new to live for, a new fire within her that grew higher and higher with every day she spent in Glaciem. How could she not like it there? As of now, she was content- or so she thought.

Jaws would close in a crushing motion as the woman pulled the doe's throat into her mouth. Two crippled legs from a bad fall was enough to make this a one wolf job, so within minutes the prey was laying lifeless in the snow below her, a puddle of crimson forming around it. She was just about to grab her bounty and head back to Glaciem when an oddly familiar scent wafted across her nostrils. They flared instinctively, ebony lips curling as her ears folded flat. It was a bittersweet smell, one she would recognize for the rest of her life. It was the man from the night in the cavern. Her stomach felt like it was coming up her throat, and despite her swallowing the lump would not go away. For a moment she had begun to wonder if it had been a dream, but this was all too real. He was close, and she was frozen. If he didn't recognize her scent, surly the blood would draw him in.
