The ship was rather close to home. Taking the time to travel was something that eased his mind, a chance to wander and forget that there was a very distinct piece of himself missing. She had not been there when the ground quaked and the sky filled with ash - she could be hurt, she could have been killed - he simply did not know. Perhaps he never would know what had happened to his sister. It made him sick, to think opposed to wandering off in that silent way that she did, to think that she was just... gone. Her existence erased, her life swept away with the turmoil of a natural event.

He felt alone.

Amenti was a place for him to return when he had no where else to go. He knew not how to serve the King there, for he had never told him want he wanted besides allegiance. And so Aeron would leave, ignoring the smog, disregarding how quiet that things had become after the quake and eruption... and simply walked. He ended up at the ship by mere chance.

Or perhaps not completely by chance. The young male would pause, coming out of his daze and waking up for the first time since he had left home. There was something familiar about this unfamiliar territory - a scent, a someone - and as soon as he was truly focused he knew exactly who was here.

Sibelle...

What was she doing out here? He would follow her scent, moving far more swiftly than the dragging pace he held before. Not caring for the large wooden structure, he was focused on the russet girl and she alone - it was not until he realized that she had found a way in that he would truly look upon it. It seemed... unsafe. Splinters and shaky flooring and creaking in the wind would offer a split moment of hesitance - before he would unknowingly follow suit. His stringy frame would pull him up a bit slower than he would have liked, but with a bit of struggling with his back legs, he would find himself on the deck.

Each step that he took creaked loudly, but he would barely notice that - because bi colored eyes would fall upon Sibelle's figure - and he would find himself feeling something that did not want to swallow him up for the first time since he realized his last bit of family was gone. "Sibelle - you are far from zee islands." His voice would meld with the creaking of the ship, but break through the silence with ease. He felt far too loud... "Do you know vat zis zing is?" He certainly did not.
