After the Storm

Her side was still injured, and hurt quite a bit, but it wasn't as bad as it had been. The storm was over. She didn't need to worry anymore. But nightmares woke her up every night, and she would always wake up in fear and worry about her mother, if she was okay. She also worried about her blind sister, Enola, who had gone missing in the storm. She always shook after these nightmares, which were always different. Enola, starved and badly injured, limping along lost. Then, she collapsed. When she woke up from this nightmare, she would jump up and howl quietly in fear. When the girl saw her mother after one of these nightmares, she jumped forwards and licked her mother's ears and cheek. Talk like this |
