Holy thank the darkness[birthing thread]

As the contractions swept through their mother's body the little beings were expelled from their warm home. When the little girl was welcomed into the world a shiver racked her tiny frame. A rough tongue caressed her and she squirmed to find the warmth of her mother. Seeking out the sustenance that she required. When she was done Lyre curled up next to her mother, taking in her warmth and smell. There was rough ground under her. She curled up tighter and let herself be consumed by sleep. Dreams filled the little girl's sleep as she lay curled up against her mother.
