An eerie stillness settled around her in the dusk, her ivory form contrasting the surrounding shadow, as if she were a pillar of light. Amethyst eyes surveyed the land before her, contemplating each placing of each paw. She moved with high regard for herself, head held high, tail raised in a flag of pride. She was a queen after all, she would look the part- and no less. The sun had settled to the west of her, casting its amber hues into the shadows that surrounded her. Her paws carried her to the shadows of the trees, and through their vast tunnels, carried her to the brim of a lake. Slowly, she would lower her head to the water, her muzzle kissing the surface delicately as she drank. The smell of serpents was ripe here, setting her on edge as she carefully watched out for the creatures. Her eyes settled on the water for a moment, admiring the reflection of the stars above her in the murky water before she would step back, moving away from the reflective surface.

It was as if the dreary landscape had summoned her, and she wondered what secrets and life it held. She could hear the call of a buck in the distance, and though her head lifted towards the sound, she showed no interest in the prey. Her nose told her that another was in the area, and she scanned the valley around her expectantly, hoping her eyes would seek out the one whom she shared the area with. She stood where she was, her head turning carefully about her, wondering just where this stranger lurked, though she would not beckon him forward, yet.
