The apple crunched between his teeth, the sweet juice sliding down his tongue as he continued to finish off the treat he had found. It was not uncommon for him to eat fruits. He straightened himself out into a sitting position, an equally friendly yet slightly guarded disposition showing upon his own face. Black tipped ears leaned forward, stripes upon his back rippling for a brief moment as she shook away the flies that tried to settle upon him. He gazed toward her, remaining calm yet ready in case something happened. He knew not who this stranger was, and he had not the time to learn about many in these lands. He was always on guard.
