What Is Life For, If Not For Joy?
This area, the forest's edge by the bay, was in Birch's opinion the most stunning place around their home. He had picked up on the fact that ?owyn liked it here as well, and had a suspicion it was her favorite spot. Paying attention to the little things was still important. Life, in his opinion, was often over far too quickly. One needed to take time and enjoy the things around them while they still had the chance to.
Light purple eyes would shift to his mate, his tail wagging behind him. The sun was setting, and though he was trying not to pay it too much mind ?o's scent was starting to get to him now. It had been getting stronger as the summer drew on, and Birch could sense it as well that, soon, it would be time for them to start their family. But Birch wasn't going to rush this moment. Everything would happen in good time.
The male would get up on the rock next to ?owyn, gently pressing his body against her own and looking out over the water. Such a calm feeling would wash over him as he gazed out towards that beautiful sunset, his heart starting to beat just a bit faster. "Very beautiful." He would agree, looking to her with his light gaze. "Though we could be anywhere, some frozen tundra, some barren desert... it doesn't matter where I am... if I am with you then every moment is beautiful. I'm sure if you had the mind to you could make it seem light in the darkest of places."
