It was somewhat a surprise to Emer as the pup sharply turned around, her hackles raising as she let out a growl. "Who are you?"! Truth be told she wasn't sure whether she was pleased or not by this display, of course it was good to see that although alone the girl wasn't entirely naive and wouldn't simply trust any stranger. All the same though, as Emer knew herself you didn't need to be aggressive to be wary of others.
"Please, relax. I'm not going hurt you. I just wanted to make sure you were ok out here on your own." Her words were genuine, spoken with honesty though a part of her had a feeling that the pup probably wouldn't believe her just like that. As long as she didn't try to attack, Emer certainly didn't feel like fighting anyone, let alone a pup. "My name is Emer Lasair. Are you lost child?" Clearly she had a bit of an attitude, though hopefully wouldn't be offended by this fact, Emer had nothing else to call the girl though and was a little more concerned with ensuring the child's safety than bothering with introductions. For all she knew there were worried parents somewhere looking for their pup.
