Though he wouldn't accept it as forgiveness Devya's wounds seemed to be healing. She would continue her affections, as he would to her. Showering her in all the love he could muster. He knew how much he needed he now, he had been so empty and so broken out in the wilderness without her. Why had he left? Why had he run when they needed each other the most he would never know. The world seemed to feel more right with her next to him. There was still a wrongness, one that could never be quelled. They would never have their father back, but they would always have each other. Finally she would speak, her words throwing him slightly off guard. A home. He hadn't felt at home anywhere but in her embrace. "I'm at home when I'm with you Devya. Where ever you wish to call home is where I'll be." he had no preference in such matters as long as he could lay beside her every night he would be content.?

She would move forward towards the river, their mismatched forms slowly submerging into the cool water. It was such a relief from the terrible heat, a sigh would be uttered from his lips as he felt his blood begin to cool. He would lean into her form as she looked into the water's surface. He would admire her reflection as she snapped at the water and began to drink. He would find it odd her enthusiasm, not connecting that she ?found distaste in her image. He would forget for a moment about it, and would enjoy the water's refreshing coolness.?
