Her Portrait in Black.

He ran into the thickets, so familiar, but foreboding. It was like a nightmare, they bid him to leave, the trees came alive and stretched from their basses towards him as if trying to devour him. Hollow ran as hard as his could, his chest burned with effort as he moved at full speed, dodging brambles, thorns and deadly vines that all seemed to reach for him, trying to pull him down. Their was a point ahead a small light, and a single glittering green eye. You left me Hollow, you left me and our pups, you have broken me. No! he frantically called for his dear Hervok she- wolf. But he could not catch her, a branch seemingly swooped from the trees and wrapped itself around his throat, the black wolf was flung upwards. His eyes closed as he prepared for death.
Deep in the thicket where he had sought comfort. Curled in a tight shaking ball, Bright blue eyes shot open wide with fear. The ring of emerald green shone brightly in his right eye. "NINA!" He called loudly, before realizing that she was gone. His life as alpha was over. The dark male sat up, with the still vivid dream burned into his brain. He called out and sang a song, full of sorrow and loss. There was no underlying happiness, his eyes misted and he stared blankly at the floor of the thicket. Shrouded in darkness, surrounded by growth did not comfort him as he had hoped. He was still broken.
