The title, although incredibly sweet was certainly nothing that Emer herself would ever claim. There were surely plenty of mothers that coped far better than she did, her own she would definitely include in that statement. Even if Cecily was the make such a comment out loud though, at least in this moment anyway, Emer probably would never have the heart to try deny such a claim, how could you respond with anything but love at such a thought anyway?
It was a thought that crossed her mind time and time again but Emer found that she honestly did not know what she would do if it wasn't for Valerius. The man had certainly helped her with this task of being a parent, like now for instance, he continued to keep an eye on two of her little handfuls whilst Emer spent her time worried over Cecily. She of course worried about Taddeo and Signy too but with Valerius watching them she didn't fear for their health or safety as much as she did with Cecily here before her now. Of course all she could do was comfort her daughter but the alternative of leaving her completely alone was not something she had even considered for a moment.
Stories were hardly her forte, but she would certainly try her best for her poor little daughter. "What would you like to hear a story about?" Emer questioned, certainly having no ideas really of her own. She would settle herself down beside her daughter now, awaiting her imaginative little mind to come up with a topic.
