Her children certainly didn't like to make her life easy. Emer had no idea really what sort of story she could tell about packs or foxes or alphas or pups that save the world. Her life had been a rather uneventful one really, up until the crypt anyway and that was certainly not a story that she ever wished to share with her children or anyone these days for that matter. Valhalla had been informed at the time, but now she wished nothing more than to continue trying to get past it and at least her children did often make that task easier fortunately.
"That's a lot of choice." She commented, though she would still find it within her to smile softly at the little girl, especially as Cecily giggled away clearly happy despite everything. Little moments like that would fill the mother with hope that soon enough she would have her daughter well again, fully back to her normal ways. Though she hated to admit it, Emer was actually missing chasing her children around Valhalla. Their love of adventure may have terrified her but for whatever reason they were far more confident than she could ever hope to be and right now that certainly beat watching even one of her children sick.
But now on with this story, Emer still had no real idea what story to tell but she would certainly have to give it her best shot. "Once upon a time there was a pack called Lampr?g ruled by their alpha Kelan." A small liberty taken with the name of her former pack being used and the name of her brother, it had once been his dream to grow up and lead the pack, not that any of the Lasair family had ever really stood a chance at the title. "They were a very happy pack and had lots of pups running around including Cecily Lasair." She paused for effect there, awaiting her daughter's reaction to her mention.
"Not whilst they were very friendly, they didn't know too much about the world around them and when an even bigger pack of foxes settled near them they began to panic and fear that perhaps they would all be in danger and so Kelan, wanting to protect the pups began to plan for battle as did the alpha of the foxes Muirin." Her other brother probably wouldn't appreciate his change of species for the story but at least he too had been granted a high rank in it. Poor Dervos would have to make do with a background uncredited role instead.
"Not knowing what the two packs were planning, Cecily saw no harm in going off on her usual adventures and whilst out she met one of the foxes called Fuzzykins." She believed that was what her daughter's fox friend had been called, or at least the name that Cecily had given to her anyway. "The two played all day until they both had to go home and when she got back, the pack were quick to question her on where she had been. At first they were worried when she said she'd been playing with a fox but seeing she was unharmed they decided to give the foxes a chance. And now, they all live happily beside each other." It certainly wasn't a very good story, but hopefully Cecily would be happy with it, Emer wasn't sure she could do any better.
