While it was appealing to lead a band of his own half-siblings into the abyss that was Alacritia, on occasion the boy took to adventuring solo. This was one such occasion. Agile paws carried the nine month old along a western path. He navigated with ease and confidence past the submerged woods - which weren't nearly as exciting as they sounded, and past gale gorge - which equally wasn't that exciting. As hills and mountains rose up in front of him, he noted a cave system opening up before his very eyes. He slipped inside without hesitation or concern over what larger and more intimidating creatures than he might be lingering within. Alas, he turned out lucky and there was only a young golden female pup with her back turned to him. With a smile he slowed his pace, being sure to keep absolutely silent. He did not draw a single breath for fear of tipping her off to his presence, and instead coiled his body quickly. He released his spring-loaded limbs in one motion, launching his almost hundred-pound body toward her in a swift leap. A dangerous growl resonated in his throat, bouncing off the walls of the cave and echoing loudly. Front paws reached forward, aiming to snag hold of her back half and surprise her. ?Gotcha,? he voiced rather loudly. ?speak,? |
