DISTANCE & MEANING

When his sisters call rang out for him, the brutes pale ears pricked forward. There was no clue to the meaning of her howl, just a summons. But what did she need of him that she could not simply come and fund him at his den? With a shrug of his broad shoulders he walked in the direction of her call, breaking into an easy lope. He wasn't too concerned about it, more intrigued than anything else. The whole meaning of this eluded him, and he was not prepared for what awaited him at his border.
Once he neared the rapids, a strange scent mixed in with Harmony's. A sudden panic flitted though him, and he worried that he had been wrong to not rush his approach. However, no blood was scented, just simply a stranger. What he really didn't like was the fact that the smell spoke of a male. Bass would certainly be happy if his siblings died old maids, he didn't need nieces and nephews anyways. He saw the strangers face, sitting beside his mixed hued sister. A growl built in his throats, his hackles prickling along his spine. With a narrowed golden gaze he took in the scene. "What's going on here Harmony?" he asked, trying to keep his voice neutral. This male could very well wish to join, he just wasn't all too thrilled that his sister seemed to have gone out and collected him.
Sighing softly, he finally turned his gaze to the stranger, forcing a polite smile onto his black lippids. "If my sister had not already told you, I am Bass Destruction. Who might you be and what is your business with Abaven?" He asked, his voice calm. In his mind the wheels were turning, wanting to snap but he didn't. 'What is your business with my sister?' He thought, although not another word was uttered. His hackles calmed, although his eyes remained hooded as he surveyed the stranger.
