The black female's time was almost coming to an end. She had lived a long life, one filled with life-changing events she would not take back at all. Silent had experienced lust, young love, heartbreak, loss of a child, numerous love affairs, more children, and finally a reunion or two with her beloved Bronze. Both of the latter reunions had resulted in her being pregnant with his children and she felt blessed for having such things happen to her. As she thought about her last litter, she gave a soft sigh. They had grown so fast and yet, she couldn't be more proud of them. All four would be turning two soon, when it seemed that only yesterday, she had them sleeping at her side.
As she walked through the familiar lands of Ludicael, she couldn't help but feel blessed. After all she had been through, she was still alive and kicking. The mere idea of kicking resulted in a small oomph coming from her stomach. Silent took a second to halt, deeply inhale, and then pursue walking. She was not going to get sick with this one, oh no...Morning sickness had always plagued her, but she didn't intend on dealing with it anymore. Not at her age.
The closer she got to the end of the forest, the louder the falls rang in her ears. Emerald eyes perked to look up at the landmark, gallons upon gallons of water cascading from the cliff above her. Mist seemed to form around the rocks that gathered beneath the water, giving the place a pleasantly eerie look. Silent couldn't help but smile, for she instantly remembered her own home behind a series of falls when Alione was younger. In another world at another time...that was when it happened.
Silent was then pulled out of the memory when Faolan's scent briefly struck her nose. She looked around, expecting to see the silver ghost around her, but unfortunately, he was absent. Instead, she saw the source faster than she had expected: a young girl, sitting at the edge of the stream, with eyes focused on a skunk that stood next to her. A curious eyebrow rose and she refrained from stepping any closer. Skunks could be dangerous if one crossed by too close; she didn't want to smell like one.
The wind then changed direction and took Silent's scent with it. She knew that the girl would realize she was there, and so silently, she reclined to her haunches and waited for her response. If this girl smelled of Faolan, she must be a major part of his life.
