Today was the day. Bass awoke in the early morning, slipping in the nearby lake to both cool and wash his body. Moss and dirt rinsed from his pale coat as he walked out, shaking the liquid from his pelt. Padding over to Motif's den, he popped his head in and smiled, prodding her with a paw. "Its time." He said softly, turning and walking away, knowing well enough that she would follow behind him. He made his way further into the plains, tipping back his head and letting out a summons for all of Abaven. He smiled at each wolf who made their way into the clearing, dipping his head in a greeting. When the last of them had come in, he began.
"Wolves of Abaven. Today is the day that I announce your Azgrat. She has proved herself, and has come to me with a challenge. We fought in the battlefield, and she has made her worth known to all. From now on, Motif will be the Azgrat of Abaven. She will have the power to accept members into our ranks, hold training sessions, as well as being challenged for rank gaining. She will be in charge when I am away, and you will respect her as my second." He said, turning to his sister and flashing her a wide grin. He knew that no one would be better, she had gone above and beyond to prove her worth to all of Abaven. Turning his attention back to the gathered wolves, he grinned at them as well. "I have also changed the ranks a bit. Naharar is now a tier one rank, and it will be able to be challenged for. Kashkar has replaced Naharar in tier two, and the Kashkar will act directly under the Naharar." Flicking his tail, he looked around. "Rank challenges can be taken up by me or Motif." Bass shut his trap then, not wanting to talk both their ears off.
