No Longer Alone

It was early in the day when Bass's voice woke her from her dreams. She would blink up at the boy for a moment in confusion before realisation took hold and she bounded upwards, for a moment fully awake. Shaking out her stiffness she left the den and padded obediently behind her brother. She would stand beside him at the meeting as he called out for the wolves of Abaven and wait for them all to assemble before them. He would open his maw then and say the words that bound Motif to this pack, its health and desires. She would smile then and nod head to the assembled wolves as she stepped forward and accepted the rank.
Her and Bass had already had their spar and he had seemed content that she could hold her own and push back well enough to take this position. The trust of her brother in her gave way to something in her heart that blossomed and shined with love, the part of her that had always craved his approval through their time growing up and their fun together. They where something different now, the both of them. They where grown and their responsibility where great, and Bass was turning into someone she could be immensely proud of, someone this pack could rely on, someone that could make this whole world a place for them to live in.
