Turn down the lights, turn down the bed

Odette's paws had carried her to a gathering of rocks whose piles were neatly set as triangles and rectangles. She couldn't help but observe them and silently wonder what made such structures. Red and blue eyes remained on them until her ears perked to hear a familiar voice. Her presence was questioned and she slowly broke her bi-colored gaze from the rocks to the wolf walking towards her. She would recognize those black legs and bright eyes anywhere...Baldur.
The last time she had seen the male was when he announced his departure from Valhalla. The news had struck a cord with the young girl, but at the time, she didn't understand why her feelings had been so strong. Now, as she saw the past returning for a visit, she braced herself for any type of nostalgia to hit her like a fist. The closer he got, the more excited she began to feel.
"Baldur? What in the world are you doing here?" She mirrored his question, not intending to not answer his inquiry. Once he was within a few feet of her, she closed the gap between them and gently nuzzled his right cheek. He smelled of Ebony, something she hadn't expected to happen to the male. "I came out here to explore. The restlessness never seems to leave my paws." She gave a half-hearted smile and her eyes explored his face for any answers. "Since Valhalla was disbanded, I was a rogue until a couple of weeks ago..."
