His soft, husky words held a question, one that she knew the answer too. She had always known that he would return one day, when he had finally sorted out his own issues, but whether or not she would be around was the only question. There were no more questions, he had arrived with nearly impeccable timing. Answering her call as she claimed a fallen kingdom. A smile would curl her lips higher so that it was a borderline snarl. "I promised you death didn't i?" The sweetest of threats would leave her lips as he moved beside her. It was then that her crown would tip towards him. Coral pools burned with a fight that lusted for carnal thrills. I couldn't resist you. A dark chuckle would rattle her sides, as she shook her head slowly. "Perhaps that it where you went wrong." Lyrics never rose above a husky murmur. Perhaps his irresistible desire to follow her would the end of him. Perhaps one day, he would take his final breath with his throat between her jaws. But he was safe for now, she wasn't quite done with the fickle man.
The desire that curled in her belly had not be sated by anyone or anything. Kylar had showed his face when she claimed the empire once more, but he had said nothing. Nor had he sought her out after. Irritation had begun to flare in her chest. The urge to kill something was becoming nearly uncontrollable. Eventually something would have to give. Someone would pay in an irrevocable way. Unknown to her, the threads of her mind where fraying, her lust of blood and sex was growing to unseen proportions, and those needs going unfulfilled would only had disastrous results. |
