She was lost in her mind. Her worry, her fear. The femme worried for her brothers, but Akemi didn't seek them out yet. Soon, she swore to herself. But not right now. She would focus for now only on her breathing, the remains of her ears twitching slightly. She didn't focus at all on the approaching sound of pawsteps. They were at the back of her mind. She was letting all of her guards down... so much. It wasn't until the other stuck his muzzle under the bush that Akemi jolted into awareness, single orb opening wide. At first she didn't recognize the other, her heart pounding heavily in her chest. No. She pressed back as hard as she could, waiting...
