Bloodied and Broken

Oh, he was but a boy even still -- albeit a reckless one, suddenly aroused by the threat of violence and by Cataleya's unbridled anger. He found himself laughing, too, amused by the thought of her being in love; she could never be capable of such a thing. She was far too cruel, too hateful. Her amusement faded quickly as she parted her own jaws to grab hold of the lower half of his mouth. Caught by surprise, he found himself stumbling backwards slightly, falling to his side easily. A snarl fell from his lips, but the promise of punishment was suddenly more exciting than he expected.
He was pinned beneath her, but he did not struggle to escape. He had never expected to be so much like his mother -- his body begged for punishment and control that only she could give him. He felt his skin crawl with anticipation as his vision grew hazy, his mind whirling. Nothing had been certain for so many seasons, but he knew Cataleya well enough to know how she would react and the certainty was comforting, despite the knowledge of imminent pain. "Did I upset you, Cat?" he growled between gritted teeth, his eyes shining with an inextinguishable fire.
