Kar would give a whine when his mate spoke. No sooner did she give the same advice back to him did another contraction occur. The male would shift nervously, sucking in air as if he had forgotten what it was like to breathe properly. Gaze would shift to the small bundle that had been brought onto into the world. Those lime green eyes would look in awe, fascinated and also worried as he watched Nalyda clean the little thing. She looked so much like him, a bit darker, with a little bit of varying in her markings, but she was surely his with no doubt.

?S-She?s so little...? The male would say softly, looking at her as the little form suckled at her mother?s side. He would shift on his paws, licking Nalyda?s head as he took another shuddering breath. There would be more... Right? Would Nalyda hold up okay? She was already looking a bit tired... And again Kar worried about something going wrong. Losing his mate or any child would surely wound the man. He shivered, lime green eyes shifting from the newborn to his beloved. He never felt more helpless in all his life.
