The idea of blood being shed made Maija's mouth water. She had never considered having a life involving such turmoil and death before. When she was in Tortuga with Taurig, she had despised the idea of him heading to war and defending his home. The thought of losing him and not having him come back alive had made her heart thaw and refreeze over and over. Now that he was gone and she didn't have a man by her side, she knew that her decisions would be based on her personal desires. To have Cataleya take her in after seeing her enjoy the torture she had carried out...it definitely gave the woman a warm feeling deep, deep, deep inside her core. Her face remained smooth and emotionless as Cat asked her if she was interested. Ears were perked in interest and Maija slowly rose from her temporary sitting position.
