Suck it up Buttercup

He watched the silver woman, waiting for a response when a voice echoed from the mists and like a ghost Artemis emerged from the fog. Lips curled back suddenly as the boy turned to draw in the image of his sister. The wraith speaks, venom lacing her words as much his previous statements. A rumbling deep within his chest threatening to escape the confines of his throat; as she continues to sing her own praises. Despite it all they still shared the Elysius pride, the ego.
Then she did it, dropped a bombshell and the anger bubbling inside him is suddenly a fatality of her explosion. For the briefest of moments his expression drops, incredibility and even pain flashing across his features before he adopts a mask of amused indifference. All at once two emotions begin a furious tug of war inside him; a weight lifting at the knowledge that his plans are no longer hindered by a loyalty that means nothing to him and yet he is being crushed by the knowledge that all he once stood for is being violently torn from his grasp.
He forced a chuckle, a smirk curling the corners of his mouth. ?Considering my own lovely littermates seemed content with ignoring my existence, I?m not certain there?s anything for me to hold onto anyways!? Ah yes, his full blooded siblings, now that he thought about it he would give up a thousand things if it meant not having to pretend to care about them when they didn?t seem to want to put in the effort. Last he had seen of them they had been glued to each other?s sides, and all but ignored him all together. Damn brats! He had bled and sacrificed to earn his place back in the damned forest, and what had they done? Waltzed right like damn idiots, and yet they had acted as though they were so much better than him.
?Unless of course you expect me to grovel before you at the thought of losing you dear sister.? He spat the words. ?What?s in a name?? He hissed, grinning defiantly up at the wraith. ?Why should I cling to one so soiled by your own failure?? Then he would glance back towards the silver bitch, he wanted nothing more than to slink off right now, but he needed to know which way to head, into the mists or away.
Please note: Novocaine is missing his right eye entirely, an empty socket is all that remains in its stead. Not all of his tables reflect that as of yet!
