She endured the storm like any other wolf worth their merit should have, trudging through the mud and rain to patrol the borders of the pack, making sure that no wolf dared to use the weather as an opportunity to invade. She had heard whispers through the pack of new members, serfs mostly, nothing of threat to her in her quest to gain rank. Still, they were part of the pack, she supposed. She huffed at the thought of a serf rising in ranks, or worse yet; of her falling in rank to their level. No! That would not stand! She'd die before that happened. She needed to eliminate herself from falling from such grace. Sheneeded to prove that she was a valuable asset to the pack. No one is here to light the way |
