This was where it had all started. Ocena had given birth to her second litter here, making Odette breathe in the salty sea air for her first set of respirations. She had spent the first few months of life here, curled up beside her mother and littermates, but occasionally wrapped herself up in Gargoyle's large front paws. Every morning, she was able to take in the beach's landscape, both sight and sound. Now, all of those times were just memories...
Tan paws carried her across the sand, failing to move the dark gems with each step. Winter had set in every crevice of the Cove, keeping everything stiff and cold upon the first touch. Odette didn't mind the changes; she was a fan of the North and therefore, a fan of anything that didn't make her melt. Her thick coat kept her warm as she walked along the shore that held so many memories for her. She didn't remember how many times she had come to visit the Cove, but she knew that this visit would be in the history books. She was revisiting as an Alphess.
Thoughts continued to rise and fall in her head as the waves hit the sandy beach. They moved in unison, making Odette feel calm with the world around her. Nevertheless, the nostalgia of her parents' memory made her sigh and she halted near one of the many waves. Her feet barely touched the water and as the wind rose and combed her fur, she closed her eyes and said, "I hope you would be proud of me, Papa...I miss you so much..."
