Set fire to the third bar [Merc]
Red.
Red hot pain, and she couldn’t tell it if was Jupiter’s breath upon her face or the blood pouring into her eye that made that side of her face feel too warn, too wet. She wanted to pull back to get the woman to release her, but there was no escape not this time. A part of her wondered where her mother was, why couldn’t she hear her? The scared tiny pup inside her was whimpering, she wanted Song to come and rescue her, to take her away from the big scary woman that wanted to hurt her.
Ripping and tearing echoed inside her head as she felt fangs ripping her eye from her face.
Black and red.
The world was wrong, it was not sharp enough and as she gazed around in panic she couldn’t find her. If her mother was there the snowy woman wasn’t making it obvious. She expected to hear her mother’s comforting coo, to feel the woman come to embrace her. That was what she was supposed to do!
Black but no white.
A part of Canta was embracing this, relishing in the blackness. She wanted it, wanted to let it swallow her up. She was ready, she had experienced entirely too much pain for her young age and this way at least it’d be over, she’d never suffer enough.
No! Screamed a voice in the back of her mind but it was drowned out in the crashing of relief. She was tired, didn’t she deserve this rest?
Gods damn it! Fight! The girl rebelled against the voice, it screamed louder this time and she fought to push it down.
You are stronger than this! GET UP! Lids flew open with a soft gasp and for a brief moment the world was quiet, peaceful. Then it all rushed in on her, the pain in her limbs and face. The cold of the snow pushed into her body and a whispering… her name?
Her tongue was dry as she spoke his name. “Mercury?” One forest green orb shifted to look at him as she rasped his name. But… but he was gone, he had left, left her!
