When he gave her the bewildered look, however, she automatically assumed that he didn't realize who she was. Only when he spoke in a questioning manner about his residence within Glaciem did she really think about who he was. She tried to place him within her ranks and then, it hit her. She remembered him standing beside Qanik, his white pelt blending in with his mother's. The dawn of realization showed on her face and she quickly recovered before saying, "I'm sorry, Miksa. Please forgive me for not realizing that this growing boy in front of me is you. I remember when you were still a young pup...Time has run right past me, I'm afraid." She gave him an apologetic smile, hoping he would overlook her blond moment. "You do live here, Miksa. I hope I didn't make your heart race too much in a panic."
