She would hear him before he spoke. His paws scrapped the ground with uncharacteristic noise. Her gaze would search the plains until she found her brother. She would gasp in shock and could do nothing but stare. He was blind. Completely blind. Immediately guilt washed over her. She should have done more to protect him, to keep him from Arcanums grasp. Oh Falk! What happened? Are you ok? Im so sorry. Words would rush from scarred lips as she rushed to him. She would stop just before him, her singular gaze searching his face wildly. She would press her nose to his cheek. It would strike her that she now had two brothers that were blind. Were they all destined to live a life in darkness? She was already half way there. Immediately she would fear for her children, for her nieces and nephews. Had fate destined them all to be tortured? No, she didn't believe in such things. She would take a breath, trying to settle her nerves and regain her composure. But her brother was blind, he would never see his children again. Talk like this |
