When he heard Sibelle's familiar voice he would visibly relax, the tension falling from his shoulders and face. His now forever alert ears heard her paws move against the grass so he held still and let her come to him. There was a pause in her movements, but he knew she was close from how strong her scent had gotten. Then, finally, he felt her nose against his cheek and he leaned into her touch. It was the first time he had seen her since the fight he had joined in on at Arcanum. The last he had seen of her she had been knocked out thanks to Kylar slamming her against a tree. Sadly that would be his last memory of seeing her. Now he could only feel her presence and hear her voice, just like everyone else in his life. His only memories of his children would be them as small pups. The last expression he saw on Surreal's face was one of disapproval and anger as he ran recklessly into a fight that ultimately led to him being imprisoned and blinded. It was something that he would have to live with for the rest of his life.

He pulled her in tight, curving his neck around hers in an embrace. "I'm glad you're okay, Sib. I've missed you," he rumbled, putting off answering her frantic questions at least for a moment. Feeling her there eased his worries so much. After a moment he would step back, settling onto his haunches. It was still hard for him to be up on his paws for long periods of time. After a while he would begin to loose his sense of direction and the world would feel upside down. He sighed as he sat down, his sightless gaze looking in Sibelle's direction. "Kylar was going to let me go. He didn't tell me what you did or said to him, he just said he made you a promise so whatever you did... thank you." He smiled breifly before going on. "He was leading me to the border and had lead me to a deer the pack had killed the day before so I could have the left overs since I had gotten very malnourished during my stay in Arcanum. That's when Catalya showed up. Apparently Kylar had not discussed my release with his wife or if he did she did not agree. I really didn't stand a chance given what state I was in... I put up a fight, but Catalya bested me and took my sight." He sighed as he finished, turning his head down like he was looking at his paws. There were some mannerisms that he held onto despite the fact that they did him no good any more. He had only been blind for a short time after all, it would take time for those mannerisms to die away.
