seeking the wind

Walk | Talk | Think The winds that used to hang around the mountain had disappeared, leaving Gale with less to do and less to keep her occupied. She had wanted to start venturing out on her own, to see what was out there and to find new spots that offered her the feel of her element as she preferred, and at first she had gotten lucky and done just that. But with her season upon her, her receptiveness known, Glacier was more adamant about her hanging back and staying out of trouble than seemed fair. Of course she understood why he wanted her to stick to the mountain - she was in no way prepared for motherhood either - but having her freedoms stifled in this manner was oppressive. Which made the call from her excitable, energetic older brother so very tempting. Her ears perked and her head lifted from her paws where she had been resting, turning to glance toward the sound of his sing-song voice with a growing grin. What was Flash up to? Unable to help herself, too curious to keep her brother waiting, Gale dragged herself to her lavender paws and hurried to find him, not the least bit surprised that he was on the move when her pale, grey-green eyes landed on him. Still grinning, even chuckling, she called out to him teasingly, "What's up, Flash? Need someone to time a race?" |
