OOC name: Shelby

Personality: Family oriented, caring, brave, self-sacrificing, self-doubting. Hercules is nothing if not a family man. He cares deeply for each member of his family, blood, married in, or other wise. He will never hesitate to give his all to protect them, provide for them, and ensure that they are all cared for. This trait can be selective at times, showing more toward his parents and siblings than it might toward his cousins or in-laws. He knows the value of blood and holds that value as sacred. He feels just as strongly about following the Olympus family's beliefs, specifically those laid out for him by Helios and Natalya.  He is also a very kind and caring soul. He can wear his heart on his sleeve at times despite his best efforts to keep his emotions hidden. He likes to be seen as a pillar of strength for his family, but around those he is closest too it is not uncommon for him to break down and let out all of the emotions and stress that had been building on him. This only happens to a very select few though. He is very brave, to the point of being self-sacrificing. He holds no fear for his well being as long as the harm that is being done to him prevents the same harm to someone else. However, as brave as he is, he is also incredibly insecure. He constantly second guesses himself and needs someone that will reassure him that he is doing the right thing. Once he has found someone that he loves enough to make them his mate he will lean heavily on them, but will also protect them to his last breath.

RP sample: Red-hued ears fell back against his skull as he gazed out over the Avian Estuary. He was settled on his launches near the large willow tree at the territory's center, sitting silently as he listened to the birds that fluttered and squawked around him. He had been trying to sort through the turmoil of emotions that had been raging through him ever since he learned of his mother's illness. It was impossible to understand, impossible to accept. It was impossible for the young man to think that his mother was no longer going to be a part of his life. Much of his family felt scattered here and there, most of his siblings spread apart or gone all together. He sighed and looked down at the ground between his paws. He wanted to fix it, but how?

Suddenly he heard a quiet chirping and he glanced up, seeing the bluest bird he had ever seen standing right in front of him. It was a little blue jay with vibrant blue feathers covering its wings, body, and tail while black covered its head and neck. It's head turned from side to side as it peered at him, obviously curious about something. Herc's ears perked up and he watched it with equal curiosity with his bright orange gaze. The bird hopped closer, the feathers on the top of its head twitching as it moved. ""Why sad?" it suddenly asked, it's voice high and trilling, but not unpleasant. Hercules blinked with surprise, hesitating for a moment before finally saying, "My mother is really sick." The bird bobbed its head a few times like it was nodding in understanding. "Is sad yes. Very sad." Hercules blinked a couple times, his head tipping to the side. "What is your name?" "Pegasus."
